The new iPad Pro 2020 is a big step forward for the possibilities of Augmented Reality directly in the hands of the consumer. The integration of a lidar scanner finally gives a handheld device the ability to accurately see the world around it with depth perception. Through addons such as the structure sensor and others these capabilities are now for the first time integrated into an iPad.
This will allow to much more accurately place virtual objects into the real world and achieve a more seamless blend and interaction.
